Cades Cove Heritage Tours is a private non-profit that seeks to provide a superior visitor experience that allows visitors to protect the natural and cultural resource of Cades Cove.

Cades Cove Heritage Tours was started in the summer of 2007 by local citizens who were concerned about the air quality and overcrowding in Cades Cove and Great Smoky Mountains National Park.   The purpose of Cades Cove Heritage Tours is two-fold:  first, the tours are designed to provide visitors with interpretative experiences worthy of the natural wonder and diverse history of the Cove; and second, they are intended to help alleviate the overcrowding, traffic and pollution in Cades Cove.   

The tours were made possible by community partners, the Great Smoky Mountains Heritage Center, Smoky Mountains Convention & Visitors Bureau, and the National Parks Conservation Association.
